Etymology edit

From Arabic حِيلَة (ḥīla, ruse, maneuver). The phrase لَا حِيلةَ لَهُ (lā ḥīlata lahu, literally he has no maneuver) is used with a similar meaning as in Maltese; and compare حَيْل (ḥayl, power).
