łitsxo

NavajoEdit

EtymologyEdit

łi- (adjectival prefix) + -Ø- (3rd person subject prefix) + -Ø- (classifier) + -tsaaz (to be yellow, imperfective verb stem), with -x- (intensifier infix). The łi- prefix appears to have originated historically from the -ł- classifier.

VerbEdit

    Díí nidaashchʼąąʼígíí éí łitsxo.

Usage notesEdit

This is a neuter verb that only uses the imperfective stem.
