Usage notesEdit

There are a number of ways of using a keyboard to create the symbol placed after a letter to form any of the Greek numbers from 1 to 999. The following symbols are found, the first of these being the most commonly used:

  • Tonos ΄ (U+0384) as in α΄
  • Apostrophe ' (U+0027) as in α'
  • The Unicode Greek numeral sign ʹ (U+0374) is anomalous on Wiktionary and links as ʹ (the Modifier Letter Prime, U+02B9)
