Etymology edit

This verb has been analyzed as a nasal present of Proto-Indo-European *dʰeyǵʰ- (to mold), with supposed parallels in Latin fingō (to shape; feign) and Old Armenian դիզանեմ (dizanem, to heap up, gather).
