παίζω (paízo)    simple past:  έπαιξα  (épaiksa)

1. To play; to act in a manner such that one has fun.

   Τα παιδιά έπαιζαν και γελούσαν στο σοκάκι.

   Children were playing and laughing in the street.

2. To play; to perform in a sport.

   Παίζουν ποδόσφαιρο.

   They are playing football.

3. To play; to produce music using a musical instrument.

   Έμαθε μόνη της να παίζει κιθάρα.

   He/She only learned to play the guitar.
