Bulgarian edit

Etymology edit

Inherited from Proto-Slavic *mьrzěti (ě/i-conjugation), *mьrziti (i-conjugation). Some dictionaries make distinction between the senses “to loathe” and “to idle”, but etymologically they stem from the same origin.
