  • In Russia, there are two distinct types of passports: заграни́чный па́спорт (zagraníčnyj pásport) (i.e. foreign passport) and вну́тренний па́спорт (vnútrennij pásport) (i.e. internal or domestic passport). The former is used for traveling abroad and the latter is a standard ID.
