From *tok (“full with food, sated, not hungry”). Related to *toy- (“to satisfy one's appetite”), *tol- (“to get filled”).
Cognate with Old Turkic [script needed] (toq), Old Uyghur [script needed] (toq, “sated, not hungry”);[1] Kazakh тоқ (toq), Kyrgyz ток (tok), Southern Altai ток (tok, “satisfied, satiated, full”), Uzbek to'q, Turkish tok, Khakas тох (tox, “full with food, not hungry”), etc.
