Old Armenian

Etymology

As has been correctly noticed by J̌ahukyan, from Ancient Greek ἑταῖρον (hetaîron), the accusative of ἑταῖρος (hetaîros). The ending -ին (-in) is probably the genitive-dative marker -ի (-i) + the article -ն (-n).
