EtymologyEdit

From Arabic لحم عجين (laḥm ʿajīn, meat and dough), from لحم (laḥm, meat) + عجين (ʿajīn, dough). Some of the spellings came via Turkish lahmacun. The form լահմաջուն (lahmaǰun) is considered the most literate but լահմաջո (lahmaǰo) by far is the most common.
