Borrowed from Middle Iranian: compare Middle Persian [Inscriptional Pahlavi needed] (gtky), [Inscriptional Pahlavi needed] (gty), [Book Pahlavi needed] (GTʾk, will, testament, document). Borrowed into Iranian from Aramaic: compare Classical Syriac ܓܛܐ (geṭṭā, will, testament, document).
