  1. fool, stupid person
    • Tanach, Proverbs 17:28, with translation of the English Standard Version:
      גַּם אֱוִיל מַחֲרִישׁ חָכָם יֵחָשֵׁב אֹטֵם שְׂפָתָיו נָבֹֽון׃
      Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
