גַּלְעֵד • (gal'éd) m (plural indefinite גַּלְעֵדִים, plural construct גַּלְעֲדֵי־)

  vay-yiqrá lo Laván y^egár sah^adutá v^eYa‘^aqóv qára lo Gal‘éd. vay-yómer Laván hag-gal haz-zeh ‘ed beiní uvein^ekhá hay-yom ‘al-kén qará-sh^emo Gal‘éd.
  Laban called it Witness Mound (Yegar Sahadutha), but Jacob named it Gal'ed. 'This mound shall be a witness between you and me today, ' said Laban. 'That's why it is called Gal'ed.

גִּלְעָד • (gil'ád) m

  Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of a harlot; and Gilead begot Jephthah.
