הִשְׁתַּפֵּר • (hishtapér) third-singular masculine past (hitpa'el construction, active counterpart שיפר / שִׁפֵּר)

1. (intransitive) To improve, to become better.

     בשנים שחלפו השתפרה הטכנולוגיה, ואלברט הופמן החליט לשוב ולחקור את הארגוטאמין.

     bashaním shekhal'fú hishtap'rá hatekhnológya, v'álbert hófman hekhlít lashúv v'lakhkór ét ha'ergotamín.

     In the years that had passed, the technology had improved, and Albert Hoffman decided to go back and research ergotamine.
