  1. to count, to number
    • Tanach, Daniel 5:25-26, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:
      דְּנָה פְּשַׁר־מִלְּתָא מְנֵא מְנָה־אֱלָהָא מַלְכוּתָךְ וְהַשְׁלְמַהּ׃
      dənā pəšar-milləṯā mənē mənā-ʾĕlāhā malḵūṯāḵ wəhašləmah.
      This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE [mina], God hath numbered thy kingdom, and brought it to an end.
