נָטוּי (natúy) (feminine נְטוּיָה, masculine plural נְטוּיִים, feminine plural נְטוּיוֹת)

  1. Extended, stretched forth.
    • Tanach, Ezekiel 1:22, with translation of the King James Version:
      וּדְמוּת עַל רָאשֵׁי הַחַיָּה רָקִיעַ כְּעֵין הַקֶּרַח הַנּוֹרָא נָטוּי עַל רָאשֵׁיהֶם
      udmút al rashéi hakhayá rakía k'éin hakerákh hanorá natúy al rasheihém
      And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads
  2. Bent, leaning, bowing.
    • Tanach, Psalms 62:3:
      כְּקִיר נָטוּי
      k'kír natúy
      as a bowing wall[1]
      Like a leaning wall[2]
