Etymology edit
Ultimately from Renaissance Latin psychologia (coined by Marko Marulić[1][2][3] from Ancient Greek ψυχή (psukhḗ, “soul”) + Ancient Greek -λογία (-logía, “study of”)).
Cognate with Russian психология (psixologija), Polish psychologia and other Slavic synonyms.
