Etymology edit

From ܐܪܝܟܐ (ʾărīḵā, long), from the root ܐ-ܪ-ܟ (ʾ-r-k) related to lengthening + the abstract noun ending -ܘܬܐ (-ūṯā). Compare Hebrew אֲרִיכוּת (ʾărīḵūṯ).
