  ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܠܐܟܐ: ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ ܙܟܪܝܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܫܬܡܥܬ ܨܠܘܬܟ ܘܐܢܬܬܟ ܐܠܝܫܒܥ ܬܐܠܕ ܠܟ ܒܪܐ ܘܬܩܪܐ ܫܡܗ ܝܘܚܢܢ.
  wi-ʾimar lēh malaʾiḵā lā tiḏḥal zəḵaryā miṭṭul di-ʾštamʿaṯ ṣəlōṯāḵ wa-ʾintəṯāḵ ʾilīšḇaʿ tē-ʾilaḏ lāḵ bərā wəṯiqrē šəmēh yōḥannān.
  But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
