Etymology edit

From ܨܒܝܢܝܐ (ṣeḇyānāyāʾ, willing, voluntary), from ܨܒܝܢܐ (ṣeḇyānāʾ, will, desire), from the root ܨ-ܒ-ܐ (ṣ-b-ʾ) related to willing + the abstract noun suffix -ܘܬܐ (-ūṯāʾ).
