अहंकार (ahaṃkāram

  1. conception of one's individuality, self-consciousness.
  2. the making of self, thinking of self, egotism.
  3. pride, haughtiness.
  4. (philosophy) the third of the eight producers or sources of creation, viz. the conceit or conception of individuality, individualization.
