Etymology edit

Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit *𑀢𑀯𑀓𑁆𑀓 (*tavakka), *𑀢𑀸𑀯𑀓𑁆𑀓 (*tāvakka), from Sanskrit तावत्क (tā́vatka, bought for so much). Cognate with Punjabi ਤੱਕ (takka) / تّک (takk).
