Etymology edit

Inherited from Old Marathi पाहाट (pāhāṭa), पाहाटी (pāhāṭī), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀧𑀪𑀸 (pabhā), 𑀧𑀳𑀸 (pahā), from Sanskrit प्रभा (prabhā). Cognate to Assamese পোহৰ (pühor).
