Etymology edit

Inherited from Takka Apabhramsa उन्हाल (unhāla), उण्हाल (uṇhāla) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-), from Sanskrit उष्णकाल (uṣṇakāla).[1] Cognate with Marathi उन्हाळा (unhāḷā), Gujarati ઉનાળો (unāḷo).
