  1. Nechtan, a male given name. A term found on the Lunnasting stone, accepted as Pictish and read as the personal name nehhtonn by Allen and Anderson.[1] Katherine Forsyth[2] and Gordon Donaldson[3] read the term as ᚅᚓᚆᚆᚈᚑᚅᚄ nehhtons instead.
