  1. (impersonal) to be allowed, to be possible
    • 424 BCE, Euripides, Hecuba 435:
      προσειπεῖν γὰρ σὸν ὄνομ’ ἔξεστί μοι.
      proseipeîn gàr sòn ónom’ éxestí moi.
      For it is possible for me to address you by your name.

As an impersonal verb, only third-person singular forms, infinitives, and neuter singular participle forms are found.
