- ナポレオン戦争のころのフランスの貴族で、シャボテンと多肉植物にひじょうに興味をもち、そのコレクションはヨーロッパで有名であった。シャボテンと多肉植物の初期の分類にも参画し、これに関する各種の著述もしられている。
- Naporeon sensō no koro no Furansu no kizoku de, shaboten to taniku shokubutsu ni hijō ni kyōmi o mochi, sono korekushon wa Yōroppa de yūmei deatta. Shaboten to taniku shokubutsu no shoki no bunrui ni mo sankaku shi, kore ni kansuru kakushu no chojutsu mo shirareteiru.
- A French aristocrat during the Napoleonic wars, he was very interested in cactus and succulent plants, and his collection was famous in Europe. He participated in the early classification of cactus and succulents, and wrote various books on the subject.
