- A brown pill used in traditional Chinese medicine "to invigorate qi and replenish blood, to regulate menstruation, to prevent miscarriage, in the treatment of deficiency of qi and blood, menoxenia, abdomnalgia during menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and premature delivery".
