  1. An orange-yellow to brownish-yellow powder used in traditional Chinese medicine "to remove heat, counteract toxicity, activate blood circulation and promote the subsidence of swelling, in the treatment of remnant toxic fever in children (after eruption of measles), accompanied by irritability, thirst, ulcers in the mouth, constipation, and festering boils".
