A blackish-brown pill used in traditional Chinese medicine "to nourish yin and remove heat of the kidney and lung in the treatment of deficiency of yin of the kidney and lung in consumptive diseases, marked by cough, hectic fever, night sweat, seminal emission, aching and weakness of the loins and knees."
