(music) hulusheng, a free-reed wind instrument similar to the sheng, consisting of multiple bamboo pipes of various lengths inserted into a wind chest made from a dried gourd; most commonly found in the Yunnan province of southwest China where it is used primarily by members of several ethnic minorities
