飲料
Usage notes edit
- In Cantonese, the nasal consonant for 尿 may be weaken such that it sounds the same as 飲尿/饮尿 (“to drink urine”), so 飲品/饮品 or 嘢飲/嘢饮 are used instead.
- In Mandarin, 飲料/饮料 (yǐnliào) often denotes a non-alcoholic drink, especially when used with 酒 (jiǔ, “alcohol”), for example:
- 你喝酒還是飲料?/你喝酒还是饮料? (Nǐ hējiǔ háishì yǐnliào?, “Would you like an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink?”).
