Yellow or yellowish-brown granules used in traditional Chinese medicine "to strengthen the muscles, tendons and bones, to regulate the function of the spleen and stomach in the treatment and prevention of infantile rachitis and rickets, infantile profuse perspiration, nightterrors, inappetence, dyspepsia and hypoevolutism (发育迟缓)".
