  1. Forms the rogative mood, expressing an indirect request to the interlocutor in order to obtain some kind of permission to perform the action described by the verb: if you don’t mind…, …if that’s all right.

Usage notes edit

This suffix can be used with all persons except the second person when it is the agent of a transitive verb or the sole argument of an intransitive. It takes series I person markers.
