Etymology edit

Related to ᄫᅳ (-Wù-). The two suffixes are in complementary distribution in fifteenth-century Middle Korean; 어ᇦ (-eW-) is used after stems ending in falling diphthongs or certain stems with liquid finals, and ᄫᅳ (-Wù-) otherwise.
