Proto-Uralic edit

Etymology edit

One of the words reflected only within the traditionally assumed Finno-Ugric subgroup. Samoyedic *utå however appears to be an innovation: in inherited vocabulary *u shifts to *ə before following original *-a, compare e.g. *kupsa-, *muďa, *muna, *puna-.

Noun edit

*käte

  1. hand
