Hmm, are they quite explicit about that? It seems very unlikely, for several reasons:

1. k > h is irregular and the v/w is missing;
2. Upper Sorbian kurwa exists;
3. Sorbian has had extensive contact with German, and the derivation fits perfectly.

According to ЭССЯ this word is not connected to Lat. carus and its cognates. By the way, how -eh2- could give -u- in Slavic? 5.141.124.196 13:45, 31 January 2017 (UTC)

Connection with kórwā
