Bad Kissingen

Etymology edit
From Bad (“spa; a short form of Heilbad”) + Kissingen. The first element of the present-day place name was added in the 19th century when the spa town was allowed to do so by decree of Ludwig II in 1883. First mentioned as chizzicha in 801 (Kizzingen in 822).
