New Latin, from Ancient Greek κύκλος (kúklos, “ring, circle”) + σπορά (sporá, “seed”).

- A taxonomic genus within the family Eimeriidae – described by Schneider, certain chromists including one (Cyclospora cayetanensis) causing diarrhea in humans.
