Borrowed from English Saturday, from Old English Sæternesdæg (“day of Saturn”), from Sætern (“Saturn”), from Latin Saturnus (“the god of agriculture”), possibly from Etruscan, + Old English dæg (“day”); a translation of Latin dies Saturni.
