  1. An important Vodún deity worshipped by the Gun people and other neighboring groups such as the Fon, Yoruba (see Èṣù), Saxwe. Lẹ́gbà serves as the connection between the Earth and the heavens, and is also seen as a trickster in some traditions. He is worshipped in addition by many Afro-descended groups in the Americas, see Papa Legba.
