Martinhoe Cross

  1. A hamlet in Martinhoe parish, North Devon district, Devon, England (OS grid ref SS6846).

      The area around Woody Bay Station has become known as Martinhoe Cross and the adjoining Woody Bay Hotel has been renamed, but the pillar-box is still marked "Woody Bay Sta."

Usage notes edit

The "cross" probably relates to a staggered crossroads, where two minor roads meet the main road (A39).
