1. (Canada, cryptozoology) A large aquatic creature, similar to the Loch Ness monster, which supposedly lives in Lake Memphremagog, Quebec, Canada.
   • 1986 October 11, “Photo of monster exposed as hoax”, in The Gazette, Montreal, Que., page F12:

     While there have been more than 100 reported sightings of a Lake Memphremagog creature called Memphre, a photograph submitted by two unnamed Quebec residents will not be recorded among them.
