Etymology edit

From מִיכַיְהוּ (mīḵāyᵊhū, who is like Yahweh). The name Micah is a shortened form, such as in the book of the Bible (Hebrew מִיכָה (mīḵāh)) or the Ephraimite meantioned in Judges 17-18.

  1. A prophet in the court of King Ahab and possibly a disciple of Elijah in the Old Testament of the Bible in 1 Kings 22.
