Sheetrock (countable and uncountable, plural Sheetrocks)

  1. (uncountable) Drywall; plasterboard; a building material comprising a layer of gypsum plaster sandwiched between two pieces of heavy paper, used mainly for interior walls and ceilings.
  2. (countable) Any of the various thicknesses and grades of such material.
  3. A wall made of this.

Usage notes edit

  • “Sheetrock” may be a trademark, at least when applied to the building material. Drywall and plasterboard are generic terms.
