Celtic/Gaulish name, represented as carrying a hammer, the god's name could mean "good striker," from Proto-Celtic *su- (“good”) + a root related to *kellāko- (“war, fight”), from Proto-Indo-European *kelh₂- (“to break, beat, strike”).
