I have to say I'm really against using italics with Chinese, Japanese, and Arabic. They're just not suited to it. At least not without a font specifically designed for italics. — Hippietrail 17:48, 22 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I am for italics in Chinese, but in Japanese it doesn't make sense for there is no stress on words unless to distinguish between homonyms (háshi - chopsticks, hashí - bridge), but besides that - this accent is definately incorrect on あの unless it is from a different dialect. — This unsigned comment was added by El Chico (talkcontribs) at 2006-09-30T03:10:19.
Stress has nothing to do with what Hippietrail said. - TAKASUGI Shinji (talk) 23:53, 19 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
