The template for Mandarin is not clear and is not fulfilling its function. Nowhere in this entry does it state that this is a *simplified* character, and in fact by having the italicized "traditional" just following the character, it makes it appear as if the character is traditional. Each of these things needs to be specified clearly, as we had it before, on a separate bulleted line, or in some other way that makes things extremely clear. At this moment it is very unclear. 18:09, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Mandarin sectionEdit

For the record, Hanyu Da Cidian lists 37 definitions for dāng and 18 definitions for dàng. The archaic definition that I added in the Mandarin section is just one of the 37 definitions for dāng. I don't anticipate adding the rest of the definitions any time soon. But if anyone else wants to, knock yourself out! -- A-cai 21:49, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Also traditional?Edit

Can this also be traditional Chinese? The Nom Foundation database has an entry for this character. 06:05, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
