Standard American Equivalent edit

I put this in, then took it out. See talk page on wikipedia. This definition of SAE is occasionally used, but I couldn't find an official source for it. It appears to be a back-ronym for a mis-use of the term to mean American-style units (inch-pound) vs. metric units. Nerfer (talk) 04:08, 10 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Early record of the phrase "subtle act of exclusion" edit

Though not a direct attestation of the initialism "SAE", the earliest record of the phrase "subtle act of exclusion" that I've found is from December 2015 and is located at http://www.aare.edu.au/blog/?p=1373. —The Editor's Apprentice (talk) 06:33, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
