西藏 and 土蕃/圖博

The first Chinese definition 西藏 is by far the most common and understood term, without any political implication. 西藏 is used for both Tibet as a region and as an autonomy. The Tibetans themselves don't use 土蕃 when speaking/writing Mandarin and is considered a historical term, despite its phonetic similarity with the English "Tibet". Anatoli 00:36, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
